Project 01 · Geolocation & Offline
A technical demonstration of real-time Geolocation API polling and offline data queueing under severe environmental stress in Halstenbek forest. The system writes every position fix transactionally into IndexedDB before a network path is even considered.
Simulated continuous coordinate stream at 1 Hz.

Browser API reliability can only be assessed under real motion load. To reach the necessary tracking velocities on unpaved, muddy terrain at all — and to hold them over the full test distance — specialised field equipment is mandatory test apparatus.
Lugged trail shoes secure grip on mud and root passages. Without them the reproducible target velocity drops below the threshold at which the Geolocation API delivers meaningful speed deltas.
Chest strap sensors provide the physiological reference curve against which motion artefacts of the GNSS measurement are validated. It is a measuring instrument, not sports accessory.
Test runs take place in Halstenbek forest under dense canopy — the most realistic available worst case for positional accuracy and network coverage in the Hamburg region.
Operational classification: the listed equipment is used exclusively to carry out documented field tests of the software platform. Every deployment is evidenced in the Dev Log with timestamp, geo reference and JSON payload.
